Cardinals Lose to Mustangs in Walk Off
The Downsview Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Antonio Pichardo, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Visigoths Stadium by a final score of 3-2. Pichardo went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The winner was Casey Johnson in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Butch Haynes took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Cardinals, who are now 9-3.

The Mustangs were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when third baseman Travis Maddox turned a 1-0 curveball from Butch Haynes into a 2-run double. The walk-off double sent a roar through the crowd and gave Downsview a thrilling 3-2 win.

Maddox called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
