Proctor goes 3-for-4, Cardinals Move to 8-4
The Kearny High Cardinals defeated the Grand Island Islanders, 6-0, at Ballpark of Morelia HS. Kearny High left fielder Jacob Proctor was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Nate Lawson, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held Grand Island to no earned runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Cardinals, now 8-4, have been playing some good baseball.

Proctor came through with some timely hitting for Kearny High. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Proctor hit a 1-2 curveball for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season made it 3-0, Kearny High.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Proctor.
