Islanders Lose to Bombers, 6-3
|
The South Carolina Bombers racked up a win at Aloha Stadium, bumping off the Hawaii Islanders, 6-3. Beau Miller, who started for South Carolina, pitched effectively for his team. The Bombers bumped their record to 45-32 with this latest triumph.
Pakistan-born Baber Davi came through in the clutch. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd and the Bombers trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double to right to put South Carolina on top.
"We take it day by day here," said Davi, "and today was a good one for us."
