Victory Over Mustangs Takes Montreal to 9-2
Visigoths Stadium was the site for Pete Rose League action featuring the Downsview Mustangs and Montreal Cardinals.

The Montreal Cardinals powered past the Downsview Mustangs, 10-5, at Visigoths Stadium. Jonathan Jones was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, to lead the charge. The win was credited to David Cribb in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bill Brewer took the loss.

Early in the game, designated hitter Matt Hiller had a 2-run home run for Montreal. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Hector Corretjer said.

The Cardinals keep rolling, raising their record to 9-2.
