The Riverside Poly defeated the Central Tech Blues, 10-5, at Oranges Ballpark. Riverside catcher Rafael Melendez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Jim Gaudreau picked up the win with 8.2 innings of work. He allowed 5 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 1-1. Jamie Boles recorded the save for Riverside, his 3rd of the season.
