The Tioga Central Tigers picked up a win at Alleycats Ballpark, knocking off the Downsview Mustangs, 4-1. On the mound for Tioga Central was right-hander Corey Kellis, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Kellis, now 1-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 11. With the loss, Downsview falls to 4-5.

Jesse Sheehy aided the Tioga Central cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.

"It was a good effort all around," said Kellis.
