Merlet Dazzles in Pitman High Win
|
Pitman High and San Marin duked it out at Silvertips Ballpark and the Panthers came out victorious.
The Pitman High Panthers picked up a win at Silvertips Ballpark, knocking off the San Marin Mustangs, 3-0. On the mound for Pitman High was right-hander Matt Merlet, who played a pivotal role in the win. Adam Diedrick earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Merlet allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 8 strikeouts.
"It was a good effort all around," said Merlet.
Pitman High, now 6-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.
