Extra-Inning Win by Lions over Lancers
The Lerna Lions did just enough to sneak past the Canby Lancers, 7-6, at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. Lerna first baseman Danny Murray earned player of the game honors. Lerna reliever Dean Woodworth was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Larry Brunson. The loss lowers the Canby record to 2-6.

The Lions got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tyler Forshey. For the game, Forshey went 1 for 1. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Lerna a 7-6 lead.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Lerna manager Nick Riddick.
