The Tenafly Tigers grabbed a 9-7 win over the George Washington Patriots at Ballpark of León HS. Tenafly left fielder Gary Corbett went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks to earn player of the game honors. Tom Falck got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 7 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The win moves Tenafly to a record of 3-4.
Andy Arceo, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Tenafly win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
