Keddy Helps Canby Cruise to 14-3 Win
The Canby Lancers grabbed a 14-3 win over the Lerna Lions at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. Canby center fielder Frank Keddy was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Jim Casey got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 8.1 innings. Canby is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 7 games.

Brian Griffith, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Lancers organization, aided the Canby cause with a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 2-5 with a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

"We'll build on this win," said Griffith.
