Titans Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus College
|
The inspired effort of College first baseman Jake Charbonnier was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the Carl Albert Titans. Charbonnier went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Aiden McMullen, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-0. Matthew Miller earned the save, his 1st, for the Titans.
Eric Testerman had a big run-scoring single for the Titans in the bottom of the second inning. With Carl Albert leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Craig Johnson and stroked the single to left. It was his 10th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Titans ahead, 2-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Testerman said.
The Titans, now 2-4, have not found much traction so far in 2033.
