The Grand Island Islanders picked up a win at Ballpark of Morelia HS, knocking off the Pleasantville Panthers, 8-6. On the mound for Grand Island was right-hander J.D. Lindsey, who played a pivotal role in the win. Grand Island, at 5-0, has sizzled in the early going.
In his 115-pitch effort, Lindsey allowed no earned runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 11.
