Mustangs Spoil Opening Day for Lions, Their Fans
The Lerna Lions opened their 2033 season with a disappointing 12-7 loss to the Downsview Mustangs at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. Right Fielder Karl Holman was a big part of the win for Downsview. He went 2-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Casey Johnson nailed down his 1st save.

Travis Maddox aided the Downsview cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 3 for 5 with 3 singles.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Maddox said after the game.
