The Kelowna Heat beat the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 6-3, at Brantford College Grounds. Kelowna first baseman Jason Leahy earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Kelowna reliever Bradford Leblanc was the winner. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Gates Butler. Trois-Rivieres's current losing streak has reached 10 games.

Leahy had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Tim Turley, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Heat a 6-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Leahy.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Leahy said after the game.
