Multi-HR Day for Hodgson as Outlaws Overpower Heat, 4-1
|
The Calgary Outlaws stopped the Kelowna Heat, 4-1, at Brantford College Grounds. The Outlaws got a big game from Dan Hodgson, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Calgary reliever Dave Krause was credited with the win, to go to 4-1. Alex Julien took the loss for Kelowna. Carl Kurucz closed the game out for Calgary, earning his 10th save.
Hodgson had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Outlaws went on to win.
Hodgson told a Calgary Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Calgary is now 30-19, 2 games up in the Lester B. Person League West Division.
