Legends Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Saskatoon Legends grabbed a 8-3 win over the Montreal Royales at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Saskatoon second baseman Bob Legrow was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Bob MacKay was credited with the save for Saskatoon, his 3rd of the season. Saskatoon has now won 4 in a row.
Walt Gaudet drew 1 walk. He drove in 2 runs for Saskatoon. The 21-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Sam Cannell. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Gaudet said after the game.
