The Kelowna Heat grabbed a 6-4 win over the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Blue Wings Ballpark. Kelowna left fielder Stan Dodds belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Kelowna reliever Charlie McIver picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Waldo Perron shouldered the loss. Trois-Rivieres's current losing streak has reached 6 games.
Dodds had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Heat went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Dodds said after the game.
