Legends Shut Out Monarchs
|
Saskatoon right-hander John Stuckey pitched his team to a shutout win, 3-0, over the London Monarchs. Bob MacKay closed the game out for Saskatoon, earning his 2nd save. The Legends bumped their record to 26-21 with this latest triumph.
In the top of the first, Carl Poulin ambushed a 1-0 fastball from Ricky Brown and hit a solo home run. It gave Saskatoon a quick 1-0 lead.
Stuckey attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
