Legends Need Extra Frames to Get Past Capitals
Ballpark of Chilliwack College was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Legends had to overcome a good performance from Victoria pitcher Bernard Favier to claim a 1-0 win at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Favier went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Brian Gunter got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

The Legends got a big at-bat from second baseman Jackson Zigay. For the game, Zigay went 1-1. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 4th hit of the season gave Saskatoon a 1-0 lead.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Tom Morton.

The Legends bumped their record to 25-21 with this latest triumph.
