Gaudet Helps Legends Run Win Streak to 3
The Saskatoon Legends topped the Victoria Capitals, 11-8, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The player of the game was Saskatoon catcher Walt Gaudet. Saskatoon reliever Jim Reusch got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Don Baxter was tagged with the loss. Brian Gunter finished to wrap up his 5th save.

Gaudet had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 cutter from Don Baxter, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Legends a 11-8 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gaudet.

"We played hard and won," said Gaudet. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

Saskatoon now has a 3-game win streak.
