Saints Get Road Win, 7-4
|
Spirited fans at Ballpark of Red Deer College greeted the Saskatoon Legends for their clash with the Trois-Rivieres Saints.
Eddie Steele had a good game, but he could not keep the Saskatoon Legends from falling, 7-4, to the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The Saskatoon shortstop went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 in the loss. Trois-Rivieres is 15-24 and Saskatoon, with the loss, 21-18.
Bennett Conroy, who is tied for 7th in the LBL in triples with 1, aided the Trois-Rivieres cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Conroy told the Trois-Rivieres Herald.
