Monarchs Win at Trois-Rivieres, 9-1

The London Monarchs relied on the hitting of right fielder Eli Bryant to stop the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 9-1. For the game, Bryant went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. London reliever Mohamed Lambert picked up the win to move to 6-0. Peyton Renouf suffered the loss. At 21-15, the Monarchs are currently second in the Lester B. Person League East Division.
It could have been a different outcome for London, had it not been for Ron Withers, the 20-year old shortstop . Withers contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put London up, 2-0.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Withers told the London Gazette.
