Royales Bang Out 9-5 Win Versus Saskatoon
|
The Montreal Royales trumped the Saskatoon Legends, 9-5, at Eliminators Ballpark. Montreal first baseman Christopher Harrington was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Royales bumped their record to 21-15 with this latest triumph.
The Royales got a big at-bat from center fielder Gilbert Boone. For the game, Boone was 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Montreal a 7-5 lead.
"We maximized our offense today," said Montreal skipper Kevin Haynes. "That makes everyone's life easier."
