The Victoria Capitals racked up a win at Ballpark of Chilliwack College, bumping off the Saskatoon Legends, 4-2. Justin Adler, who started for Victoria, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.1 innings, Adler surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Kirk Winman was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.
Wayne Chambers aided the Victoria cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Chambers.
Victoria is last in the Lester B. Person League West Division with a record of 13-16.
