8-1 Win by Rhinos Continues Hot Start
|
Behind the bravura of center fielder Pedro Pérez, the Rubber City Rhinos topped the San Diego Hops by the score of 8-1. Pérez was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Rhinos. Sigfrid Arnim picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 3 in 5.1 innings. William Miller earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Rubber City grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Pérez, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2031, hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rhinos out in front, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Pérez.
Rubber City, now 7-1, is playing great baseball to start the year.
