Heat Pull Even With 3-1 Victory
|
The Kelowna Heat got a stellar performance from pitcher Cary Dower, who handcuffed the Calgary offense en route to a 3-1 win at Corvettes Ballpark. The Heat bumped their record to 14-14 with this latest triumph.
Seth Almy hit a run-scoring double off Lou Swyers in the top of the sixth, which put the Heat in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Almy had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 3.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Almy. "And not try to do too much."
