Heat Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Trois-Rivieres
|
The Kelowna Heat topped the Trois-Rivieres Saints by the score of 8-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Seth Almy. Almy was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Heat on the day. Kelowna reliever Colin Larsen picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ben Evans took the loss. Trois-Rivieres, at 10-17, has lost 4 straight.
Ryan Desjardins aided the Kelowna cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kelowna manager Bob Cunningham.
