The Victoria Capitals defeated the London Monarchs, 7-2. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Carter Canning, who was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Roger Rae in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Conor Bruce took the loss. The Capitals now have a record of 9-14 with the win over London.
Canning had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Capitals went on to win.
