Montreal and Kelowna duked it out at Brantford College Grounds and the Royales came out victorious.

The Montreal Royales defeated the Kelowna Heat, 8-6, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Brantford College Grounds, with Montreal first baseman Christopher Harrington named player of the game. Montreal reliever Johnny Rollin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ernie Klein was saddled with the loss.

The Royales got a big at-bat from shortstop Dave Duval. For the game, Duval went 2 for 2 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Montreal a 6-5 lead.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Kevin Haynes.

Montreal has now won 4 in a row.
