Victory Pushes Heat Record to 10-10
|
Kelowna left-hander Bill Montgomery pitched his team to victory over the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score was 2-1. Montgomery, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Tom Simpson got the save, the 3rd for him this season.
Seth Almy, who is tied for 9th in the LBL with a .697 slugging percentage, chipped in for Kelowna with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
