Saints Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Heat
Not everyone stuck through the 36-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Despite a great performance by Kelowna designated hitter Henry Harrington, the Trois-Rivieres Saints defeated the Heat by the score of 8-5 at Blue Wings Ballpark. Harrington went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Trois-Rivieres reliever Rowan Waller picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ken Oxford absorbed the loss.

Trois-Rivieres took a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, third baseman Bill Hopkins hit a grand slam home run that set the crowd abuzz.

Hopkins told the Trois-Rivieres Herald: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

Trois-Rivieres, now 7-12, holds last place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.
