Trois-Rivieres first baseman Paul Marleau played a vital role in his team's 7-6 triumph over Niagara. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Trois-Rivieres. Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 5-10 record.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Trois-Rivieres trailing 6-3, Tom Horne hit a fastball from Harry Merritt to right-center for a grand slam home run. Just like that, the Saints had a walk-off win.
