Vaillancourt Helps Victoria Cruise to 13-3 Win
With right fielder Gideon Vaillancourt leading the charge, the Victoria Capitals defeated the Montreal Royales, 13-3, at Eliminators Ballpark. Vaillancourt, who is tied for 3rd in the LBL with a .485 on-base percentage, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Bernard Favier, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 1-1. The Capitals bumped their record to 7-7 with this latest triumph.

The Capitals got a big at-bat from catcher Carter Canning. For the game, Canning was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Victoria a 3-0 lead.
