Legends Win Thriller, 6-4

Saskatoon rode a decent outing from starter Walton Varner to victory over the Victoria Capitals at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score was 6-4. Saskatoon reliever Jim Reusch was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Mike Patterson. The Legends, now 7-3, have hit the ground running this season.
Saskatoon won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Mike Patterson on the mound for Victoria, shortstop Eddie Steele hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Legends fans to their feet.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Saskatoon manager Allen Cummings.
