Legends Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
The Saskatoon Legends eked out a 3-2 win versus the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Blue Wings Ballpark. Nobody did more than first baseman Mike McCluskie, who captured player of the game honors. Jim Reusch, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Legends, now 6-2, have been on a roll in the early going.
Louie Lockyer, who is the 5th-best prospect in the Legends organization, aided the Saskatoon cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 2 with 2 walks.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said McCluskie.
