Hot Start Continues for Monarchs
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Eric St.john, the London Monarchs defeated the Saskatoon Legends, 8-4. St.john went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Monarchs. The Monarchs raised their record to 5-1.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from catcher Herbert Howe. For the game, Howe was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 13th hit of the season gave London a 2-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said St.john.
