The Saints had to overcome a fine performance from Kelowna pitcher Bill Montgomery to grab a 5-3 win at Brantford College Grounds. Montgomery allowed 1 earned run over 5 innings. Reliever Ed Newcomb picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Marcus Rumbolt took the loss. Trois-Rivieres is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 6 games.

Had Randy Jesso not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Jesso hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Saints.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Jesso.
