Montreal center fielder Gilbert Boone played a vital role in his team's 7-3 triumph over Kelowna. He was 1-2 with 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Montreal. The winner was Johnny Rollin in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kevin Palmer took the loss. Dave Mrazek finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Montreal second baseman Tom Watt contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Watt was 2-4 with a double.
