Hot Start Continues for Jacks
|
The Jacksonville Jacks defeated the New York Mafia, 7-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Don Corleone Park, with Jacksonville pitcher Yoshiaga Rin named player of the game. Rin got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 10 hits and walked 2 over 8.2 innings. Rin allowed 3 earned runs. The Jacks, now 6-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Baber Khan, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, aided the Jacksonville cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Khan.
