The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements at Brantford College Grounds enjoyed themselves.

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jason Leahy, the Kelowna Heat defeated the Niagara Stars, 7-6. Leahy went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Heat. With the win, Kelowna goes to 2-2.

Mackenzie Covey was the walk-off hero for Kelowna. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Heat pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Leahy said.
