London first baseman Bill Barlow was instrumental in his team's 8-1 win over the Trois-Rivieres Saints. Barlow went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Monarchs. London reliever Mohamed Lambert picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ben Evans was saddled with the loss. London, now 2-0, has played well in the early going.
Bruce Fleet, who is rated as the 35th best prospect by BNN, aided the London cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
