Victory Pushes Rebels Record to 26-19
It was a fun time at Ballpark of Wrightsville College, where the Texas A&M Aggies and Ole Miss Rebels tangled.

Ole Miss first baseman John Gilliam was instrumental in his team's 14-6 win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Gilliam went 2-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rebels. Ole Miss reliever Steve Parkhurst picked up the win, upping his record to 7-0. Don Olson was saddled with the loss.

Gilliam contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ole Miss in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-2, Gilliam took a fastball from Don Olson and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Rebels to leap in front, 6-4.

Gilliam said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

The Aggies, at 14-31, have lost 5 straight games.
