Buckeyes Lose, 2-0, at Scandals Ballpark
The South Carolina Gamecocks and Ohio State Buckeyes put on a pitchers' duel at Scandals Ballpark.

The South Carolina Gamecocks got a stellar effort from pitcher Curtis Simpson, helping South Carolina score a 2-0 win over the visiting Ohio State Buckeyes. The Gamecocks now have a record of 21-24 with the win over Ohio State.

The Gamecocks got a big at-bat from right fielder Tom Pritt. For the game, Pritt was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave South Carolina a 1-0 lead.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Simpson told the South Carolina Bulletin.
