Cyclones Rally For Late Win Over Cowboys
Oklahoma State third baseman Shawn Hodges pounded Iowa State Cyclones pitchers at Canaries Ballpark, but it was not enough to keep the Cowboys from falling, 10-9. Hodges slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The second-place Cyclones now have a 4-game winning streak.

The Cyclones got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jeremiah Spidell. For the game, Spidell was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Iowa State a 10-9 lead.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Iowa State manager Theodore Foster.
