Late Rally by Tigers Secures Win
The Clemson Tigers eked out a 6-5 win versus the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. Nobody did more than pitcher Mike Justice, who captured player of the game honors. Even with the win, the Tigers have a dismal 14-30 record.

Had Nick Guined not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Guined hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Tigers.

"I know we have our doubters," said Ohio State manager Yoshii Kamuta. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
