Burt hits 2 home runs as Sycamores Squeeze Past North Carolina
The Indiana State Sycamores defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels, 8-7, at Bruisers Ballpark. Indiana State right fielder Chad Burt was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The first-place Sycamores have won 9 in a row.

The Sycamores got a big at-bat from center fielder Nate Roe. For the game, Roe was 1 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Indiana State a 5-3 lead.
