Sooners Top Seminoles in Extras
|
The Oklahoma Sooners and Florida State Seminoles put on quite a show at Ballpark of Riverdale College.
The Florida State Seminoles got a superb performance from pitcher Matt Adams. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Oklahoma. The Sooners won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Adams was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The Sooners bumped their record to 23-21 with this latest triumph.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Danny Morris came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Florida State pitcher Bobby Kincaid, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oklahoma on top, 3-2.
In postgame comments, Morris said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
