Rebels Squelch Bears Offense in Shutout Win
In a tight game between the Ole Miss Rebels and the Baylor Bears, pitcher Kevin Lynn was terrific on the mound. The Ole Miss right-hander was named the player of the game in Ole Miss's 3-0 win. Lynn, now 1-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. The Rebels bumped their record to 24-19 with this latest triumph.

William Horst went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs for Ole Miss. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Justin Whitling. It was his 35th RBI of the season.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Lynn said.
