Houston left-hander Jim Shelby pitched his team to victory over the USC Trojans at Nesquehoning College Fields. The final score was 6-4. Andre McNeal picked up the save, his 10th. Houston is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Chris Corbell aided the Houston cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Shelby said.
