The Houston Cougars dealt the Tulane Green Wave a 8-4 loss at Suns Ballpark. Jordan Wyatt was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Chris Durkin got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. Michael Jones earned the save for Houston, his 1st.

Wyatt had a key at-bat for Houston early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 5th double of the season and gave Houston an early 3-0 lead.
